  • Purple Sprouting Brocolli

    I've just split lots of seed pods and have plenty of PSB seeds.
    I've taken them from an organic PSB plant i got from the garden centre last year.
    The plants grew very well and produced lot of florets.

    Not sure if the seeds will produce - dont see why not tho!!

    It would be nice to get some seeds back but no worries if you dont have any!

    let me know

      Brassicas are notoriously promiscuous. Cabbage family - includes broccoli, brussels sprout, cauliflower, cabbage and kale and wild mustard (charlock, a weed).

      All vegetables and varieties in this large species will cross with each other. Therefore your seeds most likely will not turn into baby broccolis.

      Go for it as an experiment though, if you have the room.

        Even if the original plants was grown in a small garden plot and seemed to be the only brassica to run to flower?
        Or is it more about when these seeds grow and become plants and then will cross?

        just curious?
