Default looking for a seed catalogue that came with GYO..

hi,

A few months back, one of the GYO issues came with 2 different seed catalogues (or I rec'd 2 catalogues over 2 issues). One was 'Dobies of Devon' , and the other i can't remember the name of.

Does anyone have any ideas of the other company name? I want to track down the website, or another catalgoue.

(not sure i'm in the right forum, but thought i'd try here )

Many Thanks

RB

Default Hello

I think we have had a Suttons and a Mr Fothergills.

Both have good websites.. Suttons Seeds: Flower seeds, vegetable seeds, flower plants, garden plants, vegetable plants
And Mr Fothergill's Seeds - Mail Order Plant, Seed and Accessory Specialists in the United Kingdom : Mr Fothergill's Seeds United Kingdom

BTW welcome to the Forum, we are all bonkers on here.
Let us know if its not either of those, perhaps we can contact the management and find out.

Hello and welcome to the vine. You have indeed found the right forum and I am sure you will get the answer to your query soon. Sorry I can't help but I don't always manage to buy the magazine (oh dear, is that a bad confession). Lots of help and advice on here and loads of friendly fellow gardeners.

Look forward to hearing more about what you are growing.

Or Marshalls?

Marshalls Seeds - Vegetable seeds, vegetable plants, seed potatoes, onion sets, fruit plants and fruit trees. Buy online in our secure shop.

If you have a vague idea of the cover pics, I'll have a look through my stack of catalogues

wow, thanks for the warm welcome guys seems like you have a good community here.

anyway, i think seahorse is the winner! marshalls is it i think, checking the website and the name/logo looks familiar.

@shirl:
well i wanted some turkish rocket from marshalls, that's reason i wanted to hunt it down.. haven't decided on other stuff yet. some chillies for sure but not sure of variety yet, and maybe some salady stuff (might try something exotic like pak choi.)
i'm a total noob really, just been doing a few chilli plants last few years.

thanks for the help

If you want to grow chillies this year - try signing up for this. Quite a few of us 'grapes' took part last year and it was great fun.

The Chileman challenge

I have some pak choi seeds I won in the virtual veg show on here. Don't need them all, send me a PM if you want and I will stick a pinch of them in the post for you.

What a fantastic title for yourself. Noob. Love it. As we said welcome to the vine, have a good poke about, tell us if you have an allotment and photos are good too, we are all very nosey.

when you get a mo, go into your profile and give us a rough idea of your location in the UK. Its helpful to everybody if you need help or ideas with growing stuff. Useful on regional differences.
