Default H F-W seeds

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall just e-mailed me (ok, maybe it wasn't Himself). He will swap you some of his very own seeds for some of your hard-earned cash. He has the following to offer IF you buy one of his books:
1 free pack of Costa Romanesque courgette seeds
1 free pack of Blauhilde French climbing bean
1 free pack of Uchiki Kuri squash.

This is the link if you're interested: http://shop.rivercottage.net/rcv2/shop/springseeds.jsp

Personally I'm not bothered: I've got my beans and courgettes sorted, and I'm not that keen on squashes generally, but I thought it was worth a look if you were in the market for a H F-W book anyway.

Went right off him when he massacred a load of young rooks just to eat 2 muscles from each - and threw away the rest - in a rook pie. He should stick to woodlice!

Ah, but I quite like woodlice for some bizarre reason!

Hugh mailed me also (like to think it was the personal touch!) and got quite excited for a moment until I remembered that I don't want another book, already have Blauhilde seeds and loads of courgettes which makes it a pretty expensive purchase for a few squash seeds!

I know where you're coming from - I have a whole library of cookbooks (and only use a small selection on a regular basis!) It's only worth it if you were actually going to buy either of those books anyway. I'm sure really it's a ruse; wonder how many people fall for it...
