Hi there, welcome to the vine; hope you find a comfy seat here and enjoy it.

I have some yellow/orange california poppy plants which were given me last year and will let you have some seed from them later in the year if that's any use.

I've only got normal red and big purple poppy seeds at the moment. Let me know if you'd like any of those (but they are in a mixed bag).

            Hi Karen,

I know it's now two months since your original post, but please forgive a newbie! Do you have enough calif poppy seeds, or would you like a few more - mixed oranges, yellows (& maybe a couple of bronzed ones mixed in)?

If so, please PM me & I will be more than happy to post (mine now self seed reliably every year).

            Cheerio,

            Reb

About 1" - 2" long round & pointed. My CPs have seed heads but they are still green I think thet go black when right!

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Thanks Bubbles, don't have any of them then. Do they need a little friend with whom to polinate, do you think. My one is all alone.
Looks like I need to send someone to Lidl for me.

I hope that this thread comes to the top again.
I have found some CPs going to seed in a comunal garden so am stealing a few.
Next question: when do I plant them or do I just throw them in and let nature...

If they are like our red poppies the grow better on freshly tilled soil they can also remain dormant for a year or so!
