Default Help! A recipe to pickle Gherkins

Does anyone know an easy recipe for pickling my crop of gherkins.

I have searched through google and found a strange selection of ideas.

If anyone has a bright idea I would be most grateful. It would really get me out of a pickle.

Cheers
Lance

If they are small, just wipe and cover with cold spiced vinegar.

No. If you do they'll more than likely ferment. You can get ready spiced white vinegar in ASDA I noticed the other day. This might be preferable if you don't like the strong taste. I prefer a brown vinegar - I like my pickles nice and pickly!
