I was a bit surprised by the ingredients-lemons and green toms???
I might give it a go next year as there's hardly anything left(tomatowise).
I made some green pickle tomato salad for the first time,I used to eat it ages ago and it was nice.

        Marmalade made..tis yum!

Question for all you marmaladiers though......how do you get the rind to stay in suspension and not float to the top?
At present as its cooling I'm poking it down in the jar with a wooden spoon handle!

I'm not sure if it works the same but with jam you allow it to cool slightly then give a good stir before putting it in jars.......
Is it sweet or is it a savoury thing like red onion marmalade ?

I couldn't wait! I cut a thick crust of bread and lathered it with butter. I then spooned on some hot green tomato marmalade.
Its absolutely gorgeous (I would say that wouldn't i!)......Nope honestly, it is very sweet. Looks a bity like lime marmalade but has a distinctive taste all of its own. Juggled the bread as the butter was melting but managed to get it into my gob without too much spillage. Yum!!!!!
The rind is 'sort of' staying in suspension so as long as it sets ok? (been boiled for over an hour!) so looking forward to some on my toast in the morning.

I haven't any green toms left or room in the cupboards but am going to save this for next year.......

If you don't seal the jars when they are REALLY hot, then leave the lids off until totally cold!
Sealing 'warm' jars is a great way of encouraging it to spoil.
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I knew that (well actually I didn't!) But luckily, because I had to keep poking the peel down, I didn't put the lids on until the marmalade was cold this morning!

When I made chilli jam I turned the jars upside down then back the right way a few times that seemed to distribute the 'bits' through the jars.
