    but can anyone help when do cockerels become mature

    About the same time as hens become POL I believe - around 18-20 weeks.

    Might see 'adult' behaviours before then. It will all depend on the breed.

      I had two young roosters (both crosses of goodness only knows what) from a late July hatch, one started crowing in early November and the other in early January. Pure breeds mature late I believe, so you might be looking at 5-6 months.

        thanks looked in loads of books now most say 22 to 26 weeks thanks again.
