  • My new girls!

    Hello all,

I'm new to the site and chicken keeping so i thought i'd say hi and show you the girls.

    Right to left:

Shirley (White Star), Mavis (Speckled Star), Gloria (Black Rock) and Doris (Bluebelle).

They are about 15 weeks old and have been with me for 4 days now. Settling nicely, am picking them up every night so they get used to being handled and are loving being fed a bit of corn by hand at the same time. Actually i think i am the one loving it!!
My other girls are arriving on the weekend, 3 Goldlines and a Sussex Star.

Totally loving it, even the getting up early before work bit!

Hi and welcome. That's a nice mixture. Hope your new ones settle in at the weekend. Getting up early does seem to lose it's appeal on cold wet mornings after a while.
