I've had a couple of strange eggs this week (the first week of laying).
First one was (I think) just a very thin shell and quite flexible but the shell was also almost white in colour (they have/had all been brown).
The second one, this morning, was what can only be called a "jelly egg", no shell at all but still quite firm, almost rubbery. This one went in the bin.
I'm feeding layer pellets as the main feed and "corn mix" as a treat in the late afternoon, old egg shells are cooked and ground up and added to there own pot I've also bought some grit today in case they are missing out on the calcium intake.
Any other ideas from those that know more than I do?
