      Hayley!!!!! You norty girl! Go straight to the norty step and don't get off unless it's to chat to your new ladies, take photos of the new ladies, and tell them all we're really chuffed that they've come to live with you

                      Well, they are quite big girls and very dark in the most instance a few bald patches but not too bad. The farmer let them go a month early as well so a bonus for them. I let them get accustomed to Chookenham on their own for a couple of hours and then when I took in the girls spag bol the others didn't bat an eyelid - too busy and most of the newies actually joined in. This morning about six have integrated already but 4 are still hiding. One has very curly feathers so she's been named Curly already

                          I'm so glad the girls are settling in well Hayley. Is it easier to integrate a larger number of chooks than just a few? I think I've answered my own question there

                            It is really easier as they have a number to 'bully' and don't end up picking on just one, then in another couple of days it'll be as if they aren't new any more.

                            And yes Aunty Flum I am....... totally

                            Grand total 33 and room for more in Chookenham really, I will wait a while before I get some more rescues though
