I put eggs under a broody on a Saturday and 3 weeks later on a Saturday, the eggs hatched.

21 is the official date, but if she sits very very tight and keeps them very warm they can be a day earlier or if the temp drops too much a day or two later

But plan for 21 days and they won;t be far away

Sometimes folk say you should ignore the first day in your calculations but mine were set on 13th March and they will get there last turn tonight!

Sitting tight, it's like a bleeding furnace in there, we put her on a straw nest as she was digging to the bottom of the woodchip onto bare plastic and I felt that coolness from underneath is not good so she's sitting on a nest with a thick wad of straw under and around her and she's wedged herself in... Until we kick her out for a poo that is..
