  • 18 days tomorrow!

As the thread title says it's 18 days tomorrow since I started incubating my eggs..........do I stop turning from NOW or after tomorrow?
I'll also have to up the humidity.....any idea of what to use?

PS Humidity is currently about 40%

turn for the last time tomorrow night and put your sponges in and get all excited

ETA i used 2 kitchen sponges in a bowl ....with the green scrubby bit removed, but any sponge about that size will be fine .... i didn't bother checking the humidity after day 18 as i had dry incubated, so i just stuck em in and waited not very patiently

Are we running a sweep, choosing names or any of that this time round?

                  Just a thought....

My boys all have/had names (Kiev, Drumsticks and Sunday) and believe me Sunday tasted great even with a name

                          Wow! Great!

I have hatched 2 lots so far. 4 (out of 6) Sussex eggs and 10 (out of 12) Maran X Black Rock eggs.

My meat birds failed though because the eggs were scrambled in the post :-( Am going to try again next week.

                          See pics on my blog.
