    Hello all Grapes

I've been reading the various forums for a while now, and have decided to register - I will prbably be the slowest ever to get to 100 posts / 200 posts, etc. but that's another story!

I was granted mt allotment in June last year & had reasonable success here in the North East, but am hoping for an even better year in 2008.

Plenty of jobs to do when weather / family / work / football let me, such as putting up at least one of the two polytunnels I got from eBay last year - just need to engineer an anchoring system, as they are constructed with three quarter inch galvanised tube & pegs!

I have also started a blog called From Plot to Plate, as I want to write a book (!) all about growing & cooking veg. in season - it should be a month to month summary & I hope I can get it published (eventually) with a portion to go to Charity.

Theres a start - I'll put a new thread up soon asking for: -

1 - seasonal recipes (I how are you going to cook / serve what you harvested today, &
2 - If the book does get published, what charity would you like donations to go to - maybe get a league table of favourite charities

(No doubt these threads will take a while to be started!)

Anyway, thanks for reading, and also for the hints & tips I've picked up over the past few months!
