  • When has the risk of frost passed?

Hi. I have several things that I can't plant out until all risk of frost has passed - but I'm not actually sure when that is! I don't want to keep hanging on if now is actually okay. I'm in Hertfordshire. Can anyone advise? Many thanks!

          Remember it's not definite!!!
Where I used to live the last date was end of May. We did occasionally have light frosts up to 2 weeks later- (but not most years

Ah you are in Redthorns neck of the woods, bet it is very quiet there at the mo with no planes, we are loving the peace and quiet.

I know it is hard to hang on as you are raring to go, but there is nothing worse than planting out your bits and bobs and we have a late forst and you lose the lot, saying that, as i said previously, i plant my stuff out earlier than most over the lottie. Sit on your hands to stop yourself from planting

You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

I would be a perfectionist, but I dont have the time

I've planted mine out as I was a little too eager (and inexperienced I daresay), we've had a few ground frosts since but I think I've escaped these so far as my plants are in pots and planters. Good luck with yours!
