  • Warm day = A good chance to catch up!

It's just past 8am as I write this on a bright, warm and sunny 25th May. It's a lovely morning here in The People's Republic of Yorkshire, and it looks a full day in the garden!

So much to do today: So much planting out, so much teasing, tweaking and nurturing to give each plant the by best advantage, and lots of confidence to be wrought back after weeks and weeks of disappointment and delay. Many of you are going to be doing exactly the same, so a happy, positive day to one and all, and let's some of us report back a little later on and see how we all went on. Or now, though, it's out into the veg plot we now go!

We've got loads to do, however our friends are having a BBQ... so what y' gonna do? We'll get a bit done and hopefully, hangover depending, we'll have an all dayer tomorrow.

Same here! I've just picked my son up in bath, quick coffee and back to my garden.

Just popped back in for an ad-hoc pit stop ie toilet, tyre change (changed my boots!) and had a refuelling (glass of lemonade)...Back soon to the garden, but glad this thread seems to be proving a happy diversion for two or three of us today...

Warm? Here? Not! Cold and windy, but tomorrow is promised to be better. I do hope so, I've got lots to do.

I had to work all day, but I'm itching to get out there tomorrow and build some more raised beds. I'm also planning on building a fruit cage sometime over the next week. Bought a conference pear from Homebase today for £10. Quite pleased with that.

there's nothing better than sitting in the garden in the sun after a bit of hard work admiring your work,
nothing beats this country when the weather is good
