Default unidentifed plant-help

i have a shrub in the garden and i dont know what it is.
see attached picture.
its quite large bout 3ft high and has quite a spread.
ive seen it in other gardens with other colour flowers. yellow, white, light pink and dark pink.
i wonder if its a type of mallow.
can anyone help identify it for me please

how weird, we were at the isle of wight tiger zoo on Tuesday and saw this very same shrub.....there ere seed pods all over the floor and i managed to slip a few into my pocket. Would be interested to find out what its called as it was extremely pretty

My mum has that in her front garden the flowers open up at night. She did tell me what it was i'll ask her tomorrow and see if she remembers.

Just googled Mirabilis and it most definately is what i spied at the zoo, Mirabilis Jalapa or commonly known as the 4 o clocks flower. Thankyou Coomber
