Default Unheated Greenhouse Propagation

I spent some time on Sunday sowing a few of each of my seeds in cell trays in my unheated greenhouse.

I take it that broad beans, cabbage, leeks, sprouts, peas and swede will be ok to germinate in an unheated greenhouse?

The tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, aubergines and courgettes got star treatment in the spare room. parsnips are on some moist kitchen paper on the dining room table!

Is there anything else I can germinate outside in the greenhouse? radishes? dare I attempt carrots straight in the ground?

tia

Ive got cos lettuce popping their heads up in cell trays with the clear plastic lids in the greenhouse, and Ive been picking the leaves off cutt and come again lettuce for a couple of weeks now just sown in a big tray no lid on it, admitedly I havent been able to bring any home yet as ive been eating them every time I go into the greenhouse.

also got potato's on the go in tubs in the greenhouse with fleece over them to protect the growing tips from frost.

Cheers Chris

That's great, I think I'll be busy this weekend coming! Some of the stuff in the spare room is coming through already so might need to move them somewhere slightly cooler!

I have two 6ft by 2ft alu frame / polycarb windows - I'd imagine it would be a little unwise for me to put something that burns in there?

It would be nice to be able to heat it a little though!

Default seeds

hi i have got 4 tumbling tom plants going in unheated greenhouse,peppersx4,4x feltham first peas,2x oregon sugar pod, cabbage seedlings cauliflower seedlings, have some lettuce seedlings which i bought from lidl, even when we had that freezing fog it did not touch my pepper plants and tomatoes.i think plants are tougher than we give them credit for,i live in east yorkashire but it can be quite mild where i live i have still got summer bedding plants in from last year!!!,would love some advise on how to grow cucumbers as i got one off one plant last year they all died but am thinking weather contributed due to humid wet conditions

got some solent wight garlic bulbs in a tub they are going guns

i am so excited cant wait to see my plants produce fruit

polycarb will be ok as long as the polycarb is at least 1 metre away from the burner.
