  • Slug and Snail Help

Is there a 'kinder' way to stop these from attacking plants? I really can't bring myself to kill them (Yes I know!) so will give anything else a go!
    Thanks,

    1.Slug pellets
2.Small cups half filled with beer dug into the ground.

Either you and your veg or slugs. There's no happy medium.

Copper rings around the pot or something greasy on the outer surface of the pot.

vaseline round the top of the pot mixed with salt, and fine mesh under the holes so they don't go up inside.

I had some left over roofing felt which I stuck to the sides of plastic pots, used about 2" wide strips. It is rough and kept slugs out. Also stapled some to sides of wooden raised but I also smeared that with petroleum jelly - cheaper than vaseline. I reckon you could use course sandpaper. but may not be economical.
