  • Re-potting Chillies

When re-potting chillies is it necessary to pot them up to the seed leaves? I'm growing Cayenne's if it helps.

I generally do, does them no harm
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Depends if they are grafted plants or not.

If they are grafted plants then you shouldn't have the compost above the graft else the grafted stem will root and you lose the benefit of the root stock its grafted to.

If you have grown them by seed then its ok to plant them deeper, it just means the plant will develop roots on the stem that's been buried and it helps to make the plant stronger.
