  • Please ID these plants please!

Argh. I should have labeled everything I know...

I thought that I planted some brussel sprouts or broccoli but these seem to be neither. They're growing well, but I haven't got a clue what they are.
    Help appreciated!
    Mal.

They look like some kind of calabrese/broccoli, or perhaps a raab. Whatever it is it appears to have bolted

I agree oldie - I would say raab and I would say it's bolting for the gate not surprising in the heat we've had, mine did the same

OK. If it is my bolting broccoli then what do I do? Will I never get any broccoli from them? Do I persist with them or dig them up?
Thanks for you help, it's much appreciated!

A quick search informs me that I need to keep the soil cool by mulching. I have a south facing garden so I need to find a shadier place for next year.
Damn, I bl**dy love broccoli and I was looking forward to scoffing my own grown.
            Thanks agin!

              Broccoli or calabrese?

If it's purple sprouting broccoli, you may have sown too soon. Mine are only 4 inches tall, ready for cropping in Jan.

Oh hell. Am I to assume that any of my greens that have gone to seed have bolted and therefore useless? If that's the case It look like I've lost all of my first sowing of greens. The whole lot of them.
This is a tough lesson to learn in my first year...

                Thanks for your help!
