    Hi I am new to the forum and new to growing my own veg. Just got myself a greenhouse and happily planting away and fingers crossed I get some results. I did purchase several books on the subject of GYO veg but there is conflicting advice. I would like to know if I should start to feed my tomato plants yet, they are about six to eight inches tall, all have flowers on but no fruits yet. Could you please give this novice some good sound advice please on when to feed. Many thanks Jackie 1955

    I am by no means knowledgeable but I believe you start to feed them when they get flowers, about once a week. Fellow newbie here too!

        Hello and welcome to the vine Jackie, I start feeding mine when I can see tiny green tomatoes instead of flowers.

          Hi and welcome to the madhouse!

          Your feed label should tell you when to feed. I usually forget, then over do it when I've realised! D'oh!

              Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the advice, I shall be calling on you all many times no doubt in the future for advice, I am really enjoying this GYO stuff and love spending time in my new greenhouse, just hope I have some results for all my effort, its fun trying though.

                    Hello again guys and gals, getting a bit worried about the weather forecast, it said we could have a frost down here in Watford tonight. Thinking maybe I should bring my runner beans back into the greenhouse as I am growing them in a very large container and I put the outside last week , they do not look too happy now and they were really coming on a treat, in fact they got a little to large for the greenhouse, any suggestions folks.
