April 2nd: sowed purple basil and curled parsley
April 5th: 3 purple basil seedlings emerged. moved to east (south-east) facing window sill.
April 9th: 5 parsley seedlings emerged. moved to same windowsill
Today: purple basil seedling doing well. 2 inches high, sturdy stems, true leaves starting to appear.
Curled parsley - 7 seedlings, 5 are about 2 inches high, spindly stem - appear to be leggy?
I've read on this site about various causes and solution to leggy plants. Seems like problem being light?
Would this:
1. be better left on windowsill with foil reflection behind?
2. Moved to west facing window although I have limited space?
3. left and potted on later and buried up to leaves?
4. Put under a grow light or is it too late for that now as they are already leggy..
I read that parsley doesn't like being potted on as it has a long taproot. So it is in a 19cm deep container at the moment. Planned to move it outdoors in its current container.
