  • Leaves yellow on holly and fuchsia in pots.

I have a holly- like plant in a pot (I don't think it's regular holly - the leaves are smaller) but this year the leaves seem to be yellowing. It is quite healthy otherwise, I repotted it with new compost but it still seems to be deficient in something, - but what??

I have several fuchsias in pots too and one has also very yellow leaves. The others are all dark green. I think it had paler leaves originally but not this pale. Any ideas??

Need feeding I would think. You're lucky, my potted fuchsias have only just started growing again. Only holly leaved plants I can think of are mahonia RHS Plant Selector Mahonia aquifolium 'Apollo' AGM / RHS Gardening or berberis Google Image Result for http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5c/Berberis_darwinii_shoot.jpg/240px-Berberis_darwinii_shoot.jpg

      ^ Wot she says ~ they're hungry.

I've already repotted my fuchsias twice this year, they went mad with the warm March

Thanks, I will try some fertilizer and hope for the best. I had hoped by repotting in fresh compost there would be enough nutrients.
