| Courgettes are pretty heavy on space. I reckon you want getting on for a yard between them. They spread. Sprouts a couple of feet apart. Sprouts are in the ground quite a long time too. If space is limited I think I'd want things I could get in (and out) sooner. I sowed my peas fairly early last year and had them out of the ground in time to get salad stuff in after them. Two crops from the one space. You might think about stuff (like peas, climbing beans etc) that go upwards so the ground they use isn't much compared to the crop you get.
