  • Help with courgette problem (pics included)

    Afternoon all,

My young courgettes are showing a few signs of not being the most healthy and I have taken some pictures for help with I.D.

Thank you all for your expertise!

Middle picutre, not a problem, first and last ones, looks like botrytis or something....where are they?

Mildew, not botrytis I think. You need to get them out in the fresh air.

Agree with RL powdery mildew, time for the milk and water.

I used milk and water on the pumpkin yesterday. Good to know I can use it on other plants too.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

They are (now no longer going to be) kept in the greenhouse.

Will get the little darlings out in a mo.

You need to harden them off though, not just plop them outside

That's interesting re milk and water. I used it to zap mildew on a young gooseberry plant and was really amazed at how effective it was. It's good to know it's effective generally.
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?

They look like they are struggling for light too. Will be better outside but as Two Sheds said will need time get used to stronger light outside.
