  • Growing peas in pots

I've got some Kalvedon Wonder peas, which I understand are dwarf peas, are they suitable for pots, and if so, how big a pot would I need.

I know I'm not going to get loads, but a taster would be nice

I'm growing some Kelvedon Wonder for the first time this year and mine are growing in 2 1/2 foot troughs. However they aren't very dwarf at the moment as they are about 5 foot high and still growing (although some of the peas are beginning to swell up so I can't wait). You could grow them in large pots but you would still need to have to use 6 foot canes to support them.

By the way - Kelvedon Wonder are an early pea and should have been sown months ago for june cropping.. not sure when a late sowing might (or might not) crop.
