I have read that cucumer grows well in containers, the pot needs to be 3+ gallon per plant, and i have no idea how big that is, can someone please advise me on the size it should to be. Thanks

I grow mine in Co op flower buckets - they're 10ins diameter and 11ins deep -
I used the sacks often used for growing potatoes in. One per cucumber in the greenhouse. A standard builder's bucket is 2 gallons so 3 would be half as tall again.Comment

Make sure you've got good drainage because cucs hate being sat in water.Location....East Midlands.Comment

I use Morrisons black flower pots. Standard house hold buckets are 2 gallons whilst the builders bucket is 3 gallons. If you pop into B&Q they sell builders buckets for £1, think they are orange this year but don't quote me on that.

Yep that the place, just remember to put 4 to 5, 1/2inch holes in the bottom for drainage.

I went to morrisons and asked about the buckets, she said they are over run with them and you can have as many as you want and they are free. I was well impressed!Comment
