Are these meant to be for growing on????? or are they the live salad things they do where you have it on your window ledge and can eat it pretty much straight away?

Water Cress is quite fun and easy to grow too. I bought a bag of it from a super market, placed it in some pots and then in some water and now my mini pond is over-whelmed.
It is also so much cheaper than buying the bags in the summer.
