Default flowers on potatoes

Can anyone tell me please if International Kidney potatoes have flowers? My Charlotte were planted after them and are in flower now but no sign yet on these.....?

As far as I am aware all potatoes irrespective of variety flower sooner or later. I stand to be corrected if I am wrong!

Was wondering the same thing myself spud57, put mine in I think mid March but no sign of flowers yet. Might just have to put my hand in the bag and see if I can feel if they are big enough yet.

I don't think all potatoes flower, some of the early varieties have flower buds that fall off, and I'm sure someone on here said some don't flower at all.
This link takes you to the potato council varities database, which you might find helpful. I think it might have been posted before, so sorry if I'm repeating anything, I know some people find it annoying .

Not all potatoes flower - it has been bred out of them in some modern varieties so the plant puts more energy into tuber production
However, with International Kidney, I think they are actually a maincrop potato which can be harvested early as a 'new' potato. So the way to tell if they're ready would be to have a furtle around in the soil near one of the stems, and see what you find!
