My eucalyptus is in the garden. It got chopped down every year until we missed a year - it got to 25 ft! We chopped it back (major operation) to 5ft and it's full of leaves again. It's coming down still further over winter. I'm sure restricting its roots will help but it's tough. I've never hear of it as a house plant. Good luck!

I have one in the garden too, same as Flums, it gets a good chop every year (smelling gorgeous in the process!) They are very beautiful but unless you have pots of space they need a firm hand!

If you are still keeping it indoors I reckon the air is too dry for it. It will cope perfectly well outside. I think it's just drying off.

i think they need to be outside and they can be very invasive, also another thing to note is that if you cut it and use it indoors it can be very flammable so keep away from flames etc

Hello Nosferato, yes I had them in pots. I grew a mixed batch from seed - germinated rapidly and grew on enormously. I quickly had to plant them out because of their size. Like Flummeries, they rapidly got to 30 feet or more. Had to chop them down and they regrow from the stumps. Have to take the chain saw to them every year to keep them down to 12 feet. I'd think about the space you have before planting them.

I had one in a pot for 16 years. Last year when we were away on holidays it dried out in its pot and died. They are perfectly hardy and need to be outdoors.
