Old net curtains from any charity shop should do the trick.

Bramble beat me to it. Net curtains can be had from charity shops very cheaply. A neighbour on our site has made hoops to support them from plastic curtain track. Some of her beds have hoops made from hosepipe too.

Hello Babs, I have had the Link a Bord for a couple of years now and I am very pleased with it BUT the canopies are only made of plastic and are not that strong. Are you intending to leave the net covering on over winter. I only asked because I cover mine with a fitted home made fleece protector but when it snowed the weight of it completley bent the frame. I was lucky it didn't snap. I have also had problems with the cover being ripped to shreds by something determined to get in. If you aren't leaving it up then the canopy is fine and easy to fit. I drape it with cheap lightweight mesh in spring to keep the sparrows off and that works well.

Sanjo - yes, I was planning on leaving it on, but from the sounds of it .... not a good idea. Looks like I may have to cage everything in afterall

as something DEFINITELY likes digging in my beds.
