  • courgette help please

I planted out my very first courgette plant about 10 days ago and it seemed to be doing ok with 2 nice looking flowers but on consecutive nights the flowers appear to have been eaten by something. Any thoughts about what it could be and how to stop it.
    thanks

Sounds like slugs/snails, is there any silvery marks on or around your courgette?... if so that's what it could be, put some crushed egg shells or sharp grit round the bottom about 2" away that should stop them...GOOD LUCK.. someone else might have a better idea how to stop them.

I have never had courgettes attacked by slugs - and I have plenty of them. (Slugs, that is!!) Are the courgettes developing behind the flowers?
