Default can I plant asparagus temporary?

forgot that I ordered some asparagus crowns and they arrived today. plan to plant them at lottie tomorrow but if weather is bad can i pot them up temporary somewhere until conditions re favourable? do they need fleece protection as well?

Yep I have 20 year old crowns in pots in the green house. I grow them from seed and keep them for a year or so before plainting them out....don't forget to feed them if they go in pots.

thanks. they should be there for a week max but you never know though! if i feed them what shouls i use? tomoto food or something more specific?

If they're only there for a week they won't need feeding. Main thing is to keep the roots moist.
