Is this potato blight?

    Is this potato blight?

    I cant see any white fluffy stuff on the underside of the leaves, and there are no black marks on the stems,

    But are these leaves the early symptoms, or am I just over reacting to maybe water stress or not enough magnesium etc?

    Just look like old leaves to me, I'd just leave well alone.

    If it was late blight they'd be black and rotten within a day or 2, so just see what happens.
    If it does get worse, cut the tops off (get rid of them) and leave the tubers underground for a couple of weeks before lifting them.

      I agree, most of the foliage on mine now looks like that, how long have they been in?

        Hi. I put them in early. They were due two Weeks ago but are not showing signs of being ready yet.

          might be worth using a trowel to unearth a couple of tubers and seeing if they are a good size - some times if you leave them in the ground after they've grown, the slugs declare an open day and start eating your crop before you do.

            I think they might just be showing 'signs' the haulm is dying off.

                I was expecting flowers, (there king Edward planted early) or the whole thing dying.

                Putting my fingers in the soil they dont feel that big yet

                  Flowers are not a prerequisite sometimes you get them sometimes you don't, King Teds will need at least 22 weeks or more.

                      I would have a deep furtle the larger spuds are usually near the bottom as they have had longer to develop.

                      Up here in Nottm I am having to give an extra couple of weeks this year due to the weather.
