It seems the allotment foxes have decided to dig a burrow on my plot, and my whole plot smells of fox wee. People wouldn't want to eat where dogs from had been toileting and I imagine the same risks come from foxes. Is there anything I can do to persuade them to move elsewhere?

Sprinkle your plot with manwee (from a meat eating male) or curry powder. We suffer the same problem, particularly if we haven't been about for a few days.Location ... Nottingham -
Why don't you borrow a couple of fox hounds from the local huntsman, I'm sure they are quite bored by now having to chase a man instead. Tie them up to a post and leave 'em overnight a couple of times and I'm sure the foxes will get the message.

If it has already set up home deterrants are unlikely to work. Speak to who ever runs the site, but I think it will be a case of trapping it.Comment

If the fox is already installed locally then you need to make your plot less welcoming than your neighbour's plots!

Thanks for the replies, seems things are worse than I thought. With it being a council allotment I would imagine I will need permission from them to do anything, will contact them and see what they say.Comment

Been hoping for free p&p, missed out a few weeks ago - we were in Cyprus, where we saw some 'Fernleaf' lavender. Looks really nice. So I thought I'd look for some plugs/plants when we got back.
