My borage is easily 3 feet tall - should have thought of that before I sowed it at the front of a flower bed! Bigger than a small willow I have....

Would take a photo but we have sideways rain
      Another happy Nutter...

Just wanted to show you my cornflower, berry brights - I was originally trying to take a pic of a young blackbird who was sat next to them basking in the sun ....... As soon as I got there though, he flitted off chirping noisily .....
Anyway, I thought the flowers look pretty...!!

Should I cut off the heads that have finished blooming now ..... And will they bloom again ...?

Going to try and upload a pic just taken of our new flower garden, spent a happy hour de heading and weeding there this morning
Just had a coffee and a read of my book there, very tranquil - there are two trampolines in two houses backing on to us, so that's lucky
This was where we had a huge raised bed and grew spuds etc. A nice transformation
SusieG - I deadhead all flowers in the hope

You've done a smashing job of it, NS - you must be very pleased...!

(I shall go whip them off then..... and who knows, I might get another display from them!)

Hubby worked so hard getting rid of tons of soil and sorting the grass out, love it
All new this year Susie, can't find a picture of it before

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
                 though...
