    Photos show it all. Lots of healthy capped brood, bees bringing in pollen and happy. What a difference 15C makes..

    that's a great looking hive, what width are your top bars and do you use the same width throughout.
    I know some use wider for honey or fit spacing shims to increase width for honey stoes to prevent them going off the bars and reduce cross combing
    don't be afraid to innovate and try new things
    remember.........only the dead fish go with the flow

          I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
