I was down the "RANGE" shop today and picked up my seeds and onion sets. the seed packets are 99p each and the second one free, whatever one you pick, so the 4 types I needed come to 198p , I can live with that...

No point in paying through the nose if you can avoid it I did the same thing the other week...went through a seed catalogue and picked out a few varieties I fancied growing this year and then looked on Fleabay and Amazon and instead of it costing me around £50 it only came to £11.37. Granted there were slightly less amounts of seed in some packs but I didn't need vast amounts as I don't have loads of room to grow stuff in.

I love premier seeds also. I get most of mine from them.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I'm sure the bulk of those are in the VSP.

I made the mistake of going to Wilkin....son. While I'm in civilisation. I nearly walked out the shop with one of everyone. It was very close, because they've got everything And more. I'm very proud of my self I only got 3 packets of seeds.

Only problem is with online seeds. They don't have instructions on when to plant etc. Takes a lot of googling and then writing on the packets so you don't forget! Also, seeds bought from online sellers don't always have pictures and I got some with just the Latin names on, so that was a lot of time researching what I'd bought too!
Sometimes it's just easy to pick up a pretty packet with a pretty picture, the name in English and what to do on the back. I like the simple life!
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

You're probably right, BM. I recognise lots of the names!

Ancee, I like the pretty pictures and growing info too .... My Saturday morning is now being used trawling Internet for aforementioned growing info on seeds bought nice 'n cheap last year but not a flippin' idea what to do with them now!

I have 3 packets of seeds I bought in Italy last year, should be fun, I don't know any Italian but I will speak English to them (broad brummie, just to wake them up) and I look forward to tasting them, 3 large packets for 2 euros, no wonder the bungling baboons want us out of Europe, so that we will always be paying over the odds for everything, sad but true..

Are Premier seeds direct any good? Ive often looked at them on Amazon but have been put off a little by getting seeds of amazon in the past that havn't turned out to be what they say they are.

I get my Mr Fothergill seeds off amazon through a seller called Armchair gardener. He/She sells them for about 10p more than what Fothergill does, but it's free delivery.

Premier are great, never had a problem with them apart from delivery not arriving once and they posted straight out again no questions asked. only 89p delivery to Spain as well.
Lots of grapes use them and recommend them.

Thanks Lisa. I might start giving them a try as they are really cheap.

I've used Premier before, no issues and still have some of their seeds left from last year.
