Buddleia problems

About 3 years ago I got myself and my mum one of those blue chip miniature buddleias.Mine is about 7 ft tall,so much for being a miniature!My mum has kept hers in a very big pot,well watered etc.Its thriving,leaves are healthy etc but it has never had any flower buds,any idea why?I know buddleias usually grow anywhere and this is a mystery to me.

Buddleia flower on the new growth,so if you pruned it in the winter/February time,the new growth should bring many flowers. If yours has reached 7ft,you can cut it back quite dramatically 3ft-4ft tall,then it will grow in the spring & flower.
