    Any ideas?

    I thought I had 4 Dancing with Smurf, Tom plants, I definitely have 3, but the 4th one is different, leaves very similar and the toms start with a bluish tinge, but have now gone red, with a hint of blue, taste good and very pretty colour.

    Must be my old eyes Dotty but they look the same to me...................

      Sorry, I've confused you, these are photos of the ones that aren't 'Dancing with Smurfs', yes they are the same toms, just a different angle. Does that make sense?

          They can vary slightly in colour Dotty:

            The variety is bred by Tom Wagner and the breeding line is unstable, so some plants can be more blue than others. Don't save seed from it. Here's a link with photos, some very blue, some quite similar to yours.

              The seeds were saved seeds from Seed Swap, but are just so different, the other 3 plants are very dark blue, with a crinkly leaf, and there is this plant, ahhhh, it's very sweet! So maybe something happened to it before it got to me! Thought I'd made a new variety!, nature is v wonderful?

              No I won't save any seeds.

                Are the leaves different Dorothy? The tomato in your photo has "blue" shoulders. Very similar to the ones shown I my link. The blue is more pronounced on young toms that are in full sun, on the shadier side the tomato is red.

                  Yes the leaves are slightly different, not so crinkly. All 4 plants are lined up together, so get exactly the same amount if sun etc. I just found it interesting, that one of the 4 plants is so different. The 'blue' ones aren't quite ready yet, still green at the bottom. All plants are exactly the same height.

                  I'll take another photo of them all.

                    I've just had a look at both of the links mentioned, they do seem to vary in colour, so maybe it is the same variety.

                    Think I'll do a taste comparison, and let you know.

                          Yep, the top one is deffo DWS............not sure about the bottom ones now.........sorry Dotty, not much help am I?........
