  • Getting a new mower, again!

    So Im getting a new mower, I was wondering do I have to get a new blade sharpened?

    I'd hope a new mower was ready to use and not need maintenance before I could use it. Having said that I last bought a mower about 25 years ago so perhaps things have changed since then.

      no it will be already to go but do give the mower a good check over like nuts and bolts tight.

      If its a petrol one check the oil level before starting it.

        Or if you are like me just get it out and use it - must check the oil - still I only did it 2 years ago.

          I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
