  • Potato Blight

    Hi all

So last year I had blight in my christmas potatoes, basically killed everything, I use potato bags as I dont have much room. So anyway I have used Jayes Fluid on the bags + stuck them in the washing machine a few weeks ago, any chance you think the blight could stick inside the bag through all that or should I be okay?

    Thanks

Blight only survives on living plant material, so I think you're safe until the next airborne attack arrives

It did nothing in terms of blight, but at least you have clean bags

There seems to be more to it than just hygiene. 2 years ago I had serously bad blight, Some of the greenery got composted, some of the soil from the containers was used again etc. So in terms of what the books say i did a very bad job. But this last season i had no blight!
