  • What's up with my toms?

    I have the same issue on 2 plants. 2 different types of tomatoes on opposite sides of the tunnel.

    Other tom plants in between don't have this problem, just the Moneymaker and now the Roma.

    Looks like little skin splits to me. Always happens to mine late in the season.

    My guess is it happens due to slight over-watering and/or temps at night going below 10c which interferes with the tomato growing process.

      Same here a few of mine have gone like that. They still taste fine.

        you are so lucky - all mine (grown outside) have blight - have had enough to eat fresh but no surplus for freezing ....

          all my toms here in Cambridge have had blight .... all removed ... luckily, I had loads of sungold. Brandywine, beefsteak etc all had green fruits and then got blight ...
