My French bean plants have quite bad rust on all the leaves.

I've never had rust on bean plants so I'm probably not the best one to answer this but if the pod looks ok, eat it! -

I'm with the other two on eating the pods.
Once you have rust, it can be carried on to the next bean crop, you'll need to bin the dead leaves and plants and don't save any seeds for resowing although fine to eat
