Hi. I've got a chicken sitting on eggs which are due to hatch Monday/Tuesday if all goes well. I've been lifting her off once a day to make sure she has an opportunity to eat/drink/poo, but presumably I should stop this at some point?
I'd also like to de-louse her (again!) before the eggs hatch if possible - did it early on, but found a louse crawling on an egg yesterday when I lifted the bird, eww. Is it too late to use a pyrethrum based powder? Would I be better with diatomaceous earth?
