  • Giant rabbit cage!

When I first got my allotment we had a problem with rabbits and I had to fence the whole plot to keep them off - or so I thought...

I was tackling the compost heap the other day which is beginning to resemble the Pennines, and out runs a very large rabbit and a baby one. I think I have accidentally built them a nice cage which I keep filling with nice fresh produce! They have already eaten all the peas and kale and are now starting on the cabbages.

I'm mainly posting to vent about my own stupidity but if anyone has any idea of a humane way to relocate them, I would be grateful.

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
