hi guys had a little search of the forum cant seem to find what im after, now I have sown my seeds yesterday and gave them a watering... do I wait for the mpc to dry out before watering again or is it ok to keep the soild wet at all times? cheers

Whilst they are wet, lift the pots/trays & remember the weight. You will know if they need watering because they will become lighter in weight. When they do need water, stand them in a container of water for 5 mins & feel the weight again. You will soon get the feel of when they need a drink. Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
