Can anyone help, black marks on chilli plant leaves

    Can anyone help, black marks on chilli plant leaves

    It is grown in hydroponic DWC Usually at home, have been gradually taking it outside for the sunshine, it is about 4 months old. I have high humidity at home, am feeding at 3/4 strength of recommended dose. Please if someone can possibly help i would very much appreciate it. These are very treasured plants, 1 Carolina Reaper and 1 Chocolate Douglah. Here are a couple of pics of the black marking on the leaves, it also seems to run mainly along the veins of the leaves and then flush out.
    PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT IT COULD BE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

            Hi there and welcome from a sunny, wet and thundery Normandy

            I have no idea about chilli plants, but if you could add your location to your profile, it might help peeps be more aware of what diseases etc they may be likely to suffer from.

                Good pictures Check the underside of the leaf,it's possibly damage caused by red spider mite

                  Thanks, i took the pics with my phone camera, i have checked for bugs and there are no bugs on the underside at all, Its really stressing me out, these were my two best plants this year and they both look as if they have been are being badly damaged somehow. The huge leaves are being ruined. I cannot figure out what it is, either the sunshine they are getting is burning them, or high humidity or too much fertiliser? Oh well i will try again next year

                    Could it be a mineral/trace element deficiency ? are you feeding them ?

                        Hope of huge plant with 100s of pods dashed to the rocks.

                        I am starting to think it is either too much fertiliser or as well as high humidity which has caused this, i say this because th eleaves were a brilliant dark green before. Really peeeeed off, they are my best plants this year, carolina reaper and chocolate douglah both of which i had only one plant. I will try my best to at least get them through so they can produce a few pods, but i guess my dreams of a huge plant with loads of pods like last year have been dashed. My trinidad scorpion butch t last year in a similar 6 litre homemade DWC hydroponic system produced 94 pods last year.

                              no they are just for my own viewing pleasure, but i hate it when my plants get sick or damaged, i put a lot of effort into them hence expect them to do well and produce plenty of pods. I have had a bad year from the beginning this year, i bought the wrong type of compost which has added fert to it the seedlings did not like that, and high humidity issues 70-100% most of the time and i think i have overfertilised the hydro plants. A very bad year indeed. But hey it don't matter i will nurture them as best as i can and will try again next year to grow that monster chilli plant i dream of with 100s of pods.
