We're not sure if we going to grow any this year as the last three years have been a disaster for us but if we do it will be

      King Edward
      Red duke of York
      Casablanca

      And maybe some new varieties

When I gave up my plot, I left 2 polystyrene boxes of King Edwards in sawdust so that's what I would have been growing had I not given it up.............

                Due to the blight
                which was quite a fright
I shall now try something dearer
I just hope I have got it right
                By growing Sarpo Mira.

Rocket, Kestrel, Mayan Gold and Sarpo Mira for us.

Bill- the Sarpo's were £7.99 for 60 tubers last year.

First year growing spuds and ive got half a plot just for them !!!

Looking at growing a salad potato...maybe Charlotte and/or Anya

International kidney (Jersey Royal) is a must

King Edwards for a late crop.

I'll see what else i can shoe-horn in !!!! lol I enjoy growing things that are a bit different to the norm so any suggestions ??? Pink fir apple looks good for a maincrop.

Having said that, I might swap the Sarpo Mira for Sarpo Axona. The Mira are good but ours were really irregular in size, the Axona is still supposed to be blight resistant but more regular and consistent in shape.
