  • Major moult!

Hi all, my oldest hen Betty has gone through the most drastic moult ever and is almost bald, just as it's got very cold and wet. The others have shed the odd feather but she looks oven ready! I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get reasonably priced waterproof jackets. It wont be any good using a knitted one she'll feel even worse.
I have seen them on amazon but they are £12, and high viz, which I don't need.

Off to make them porridge now

I was looking at getting one for Miss Norway (her with the beautiful plumage) but the new feathers started coming through last Friday

For extra warmth you could put one of these on her under the "cape"

I'm amazed how quickly the feathers start to come back, there's signs already. She'll still need it though.
